An open letter to all of our new, nosey and curious "friends" that have been hitting our site this year:

To those of you who are our true fans, this letter is not meant for you; rather for the individuals who live their sad, pathetic lives working in the rumor mill.

So that we're clear: this is meant for the individuals that are spreading rumors, NOT for the people we care about and have been a part of our lives. It simply expresses our disappointment in people who aren't our friends and like to talk about how other people live their lives.

We keep an eye on stats and recently, we have experienced a huge spike in hits. This came as a surprise as we haven't had updates and we haven't been promoting our site. So, we did some investigative research.

Our findings are as follows:
• We have IP addresses of certain individuals who feel it's appropriate to access our site while they are at work. The most troubling find happens to be the largest employer in our area, and those individuals really should know better. This is by no means a threat, we're just communicating how disappointed we are in the gossips. (Your fancy Blackberrys are not immune to our findings either.)

• Most site links are coming from Hotmail accounts.

• Due to the 150% increase in average weekly hits we have come to one conclusion: People are talking, gossiping, forwarding around and disrespecting our site and our intentions to be a resource to other people who lead lives similar to ours. We're proud to say that we now have a network of great individuals who we communicate with on a regular basis. One of the regular discussions in our private and inner circle is how desperate people are to gossip and whisper about how we chose to live our lives. Good for them for being so pathetic and "shocked."

With that said, we understand by having a public site we're opening the door to the shit-storm of judgment. However, it's most hurtful that people we talk to, share drinks with are talking to everyone but the people who matter. We have an open door policy, if you should have any questions-by all means, show some integrity and talk to us instead of working in your rumor mill.

We will continue to monitor your IP addresses, your Host names and the information you view.
